Welcome to the Asia Pacific Property Awards
Hundreds of prominent property professionals gathered at The Longemont Hotel in Shanghai last night (Tuesday, 31st May) for the announcement of the winners of the hotly contested Asia Pacific Property Awards.
These awards are in association with Bloomberg Television and Google and form part of the International Property Awards. Established 17 years ago, they are the world’s most prestigious property competition and cover residential as well as commercial categories. Each year they set out to identify the very best real estate professionals across the globe. This is carried out through a meticulous process involving a judging panel of over 50 experts chaired by Lord Bates of Langbaurgh and covering every aspect of the property business such as development, architecture, interior design and marketing.
President of the International Property Awards, Stuart Shield, said, “The Asia Pacific Property Awards and networking event in Shanghai was a resounding success. Many happy participants claim they have made excellent connections with fellow award winners from many parts of the Asia Pacific world of property which is exactly what the event is designed to do. The two days of networking and presentations were concluded with the announcements of the Asia Pacific nominees who will represent the region at the International Property Awards.
“The standards displayed in this part of the world will help make the final one of the most interesting in the awards’ history as the rest of the world will try and outshine those winners from the Far East.”
The next stage is for the top-scoring winners from each category of the Asia Pacific Property Awards to literally take on the world by competing against other high scoring companies from Europe, Africa, the Americas and Arabia. The ultimate World’s Best in each category will be unveiled when the final results are revealed at London’s Savoy Hotel on December 12th.
Judging on past performance, the Asia Pacific region is expected to rate highly again this year as in 2009 and 2010 it scooped no less than seven World’s Best awards. The property world is now watching and waiting to see if Asia Pacific can match or even beat this outstanding record of global excellence.
2012 Entry Details
The Asia Pacific Property Awards are open to residential and commercial property professionals from any business based in or working within the Asia Pacific region.
There are 19 categories to choose from – up to two of the most outstanding entries will be given a Highly Commended Award, the best overall entry will be given a five star award.
All five star winners will be rejudged to be shortlisted for the Best International Property Award for each category. Up to five nominations from the shortlist will be selected. Only one company will win the top prize.
